Contest for £20bn London housing framework

Contractors and house builders are set to fight its for places on the next generation London Development Panel framework.

Twenty-five firms, including contractors, mainstream house builders and housing associations hold places on the existing panel which is expected to deliver a £4bn spend over four years.

This second generation framework comes with an estimated value of £20bn. This time around the Greater London Authority is looking to appoint 30 developers to the panel to deliver residential-led schemes across the capital.

Firms have been given until 11 August to submit detail prequal questionnaires before a shortlist of 50 bidders will be invited to submit detailed tenders in October.

Succesful bidders will be named in March next year.
