Telehandler and self-drive plant hirer Ardent Hire Solutions has appointed Jeremy Fish as chief executive.
Fish has been managing director at Nationwide Platforms for nearly three years. During that time he led several operational and commercial improvement programmes, strengthening the firm’s market position and delivering increased revenues and profitability during his time with the £120m turnover group.
Fish replaces Steve Corcoran, who stepped down four months ago, after leading the takeover and merger of One Call and Fork Rent to create Ardent.
Since its formation, Ardent has been investing heavily in expanding and updating it fleet. It now claims to have the largest joint telehandler and excavator fleet in the UK and trades from 11 depots nationwide with a fleet holding of around £150m.
In February former Galliford Try boss Greg Fitzgerald became Ardent’s its new chairman, strengthening the management team of the fast-growing business.
Fish has over 20 years’ experience in international and domestic markets, is a proven business developer and an accomplished operations manager. He has built his experience mainly with four companies, GEC, Misys, Aggreko and Lavendon, which owns Nationwide Platforms.
