GGR launches giant counterbalance beam to install cladding

Lifting specialist GGR Group has unveiled the UK’s largest Counterbalance Beam.

The 8000kg capacity Libro 8000 is designed to be attached to mobile cranes and tower cranes at height.

This counterweight balancer is capable of installing glass, cladding, curtain walling and balconies below overhangs of up to 3000mm deep.

The Libro 8000 is fitted with a rechargeable battery to power the adjustable counterweight rack and pinion saddle.

Controlled by cable remote, the counterweight saddle can be moved along the beam to balance the load being lifted.

Chris Lord, Lifting Products Director of GGR Group said: “We are pleased to bring yet another unrivalled product to the lifting market.

“Responding to customers growing lifting capacity needs is what helps keeps us one step ahead of the game and reinforces our position as leading lifting solutions specialists in the UK.

“Innovation is at the heart of everything we do at GGR and we are looking forward to rolling out the Libro 8000 counterbalance beam to some of the most high profile projects across the UK.”
