Hong Kong’s BCEGI tops March contracts league

Hong Kong contractor BCEGI has taken pole position in March’s contracts league after two major investment-back projects crystalised.

The firm secured two major projects estimated by information specialist Glenigan, at £330m.

These included the £250m Crompton Place project in Bolton for the local council and an £80m job for Holiday Inn and Ibis hotels at Manchester Airport.

Confirmation that Multiplex is delivering the £250m fourth phase of Chelsea Barracks residential scheme in London for Qatari Diar took the contractor to second place in the monthly rankings based on value of work won.

Morgan Sindall came in third place with a sack full of 35 contract wins valued at nearly £240m. This included an £80m power supply deal with National Grid and a £40m office fit-out job for the Royal Bank of Canada.
