Past-president of Skanska Mike Putnam is joining Network Rail as a non-executive board member.
Putnam who stood down at Skanska UK last May will join the Network Rail Infrastructure board on Monday 8 January.
He replaces Malcolm Brinded CBE, who retired from the board in July 2016.
Putnam will also sit on Network Rail’s Safety, Health and Environment committee.
Network Rail chair, Sir Peter Hendy CBE, said: “I welcome Mike who will bring valuable engineering experience to the Board.”
