Specialist Mick George is starting earthworks on St. Georges Retail Park on the outskirts of Leicester after completing demolition work on the site.
Work is underway to enable the installation of three new units, extending the site to 189,095 sq ft and 14 separate retailers.
Mick George has been appointed by Stainforth Construction Ltd.
Demolition of Unit 10, the former KFC restaurant that was closed late last year, is now complete enabling earthworks to be conducted for the new buildings.
The works are part of wider £7.5m plans to improve the Park.
Five units have already seen major refurbishments and a further planning application has been submitted with Leicester City Council requesting permission to build two more small buildings.
