Ian Lawson to advise McLaren on growth plans

McLaren Group has strengthened its executive board with the appointment of Ian Lawson as a strategic consultant

McLaren said Lawson will “focus on identifying strategic opportunities and developing key customer relationships across construction and property development, as well as business improvement activities.”

Lawson has vast industry experience including over four years as chief executive at steel specialist Severfield and almost 13 years in leadership roles at Kier.

He is currently non-executive chairman at Billington Holdings and E.E,Smith Contracts and a non-executive director at Tolent.

McLaren chairman Kevin Taylor said:  “Ian’s appointment complements the skills and experience we already have on the board, as well as bringing new insights and perspectives as we continue to build the business.”
