Betting Spy: Everton and Palace set for away double

Finally I can hold my head up high (ish) in the bookies again.

You’d think shuffling around the average betting shop would be embarrassing enough but it’s even worse when you are on a losing streak.

And regular readers of this column will know it has been a tough season so far for Betting Spy.

We aren’t quite in Slaven Bilic territory yet for agonised expressions but loss after loss was getting a but grim for what is, despite tangents/ramblings/etc, supposed to be a tip sheet.

But last weekend the clouds finally broke and Chelsea came from behind to beat Man City at what always looked a very generous 5/2.

To say I celebrated a Chelsea win would be too strong, but it almost made me smile.

Luckily a great day at the England/Australia rugby meant I was happily anaesthetised as the West Ham/Arsenal scores popped through on my mobile.

I’d wrangled a ticket into the ex-England internationals bar at Twickenham.

Getting slowly cross-eyed listening to rugby legends swap stories was much more fun than watching Arsenal humiliate the Hammers.

I won’t start talking about West Ham until we start winning again – feel free to insert your own New Year/Easter/2018 jokes here.

But now we’re on a “winning streak” a few prices catch my eye this weekend.

First up is Crystal Palace who enjoyed a great win last weekend and couldn’t have picked a better follow-up than a visit to Hull.

Watford are also struggling at the moment and they host an Everton side who looked better last time out against Man United.

Pairing Palace and Everton in an away double pays a healthy 9/2 which looks the way to go this weekend.
