John F Hunt appoints new managing director

John F Hunt Demolition has appointed  former McGee director Paul Bland as new managing director.

Bland started his career working for main contractors with spells at Birse and McNicholas.

He joined McGee in 1997 as a quantity surveyor where he worked across a portfolio of projects such as Harrods Basement Extension, HM Treasury Whitehall, MoD Head Office Whitehall, University College London Hospital and the redevelopment of BBC Broadcasting House.

Bland was appointed to the McGee board in February 2005 as operations director and whilst continuing his commercial duties became more involved in the operations side of the business and in February 2007, moved across to lead the group’s pre-construction activities.

He joined John F Hunt this week.
