Southampton University is understood to have BAM on board to build a learning and teaching block at its Highfield Campus in the city.
The £30m building project will include a 250-seat lecture theatre, a range of seminar and teaching rooms and a café.
The facility will be comprised of two wings reaching a maximum height of seven storeys and will be located on Salisbury Road, next to the University’s bus interchange.
The contractor is preparing to start work this summer to complete in time for the new term start in 2018.
