Willmott Dixon has hired former Galliford Try northern operations director Andrew Hurcomb to drive its expansion in Yorkshire.

Hurcomb joins as new regional operations director, based out of the builder’s Morley office near Leeds.

He brings 28 years experience, originally starting out as a site engineer and rising through the ranks to regional director.

Anthony Dillon, managing director of Willmott Dixon in the North said: “It is an exciting time with a surge of new opportunities across Yorkshire and Andrew will help us deliver many successful projects for our customers.”

Willmott Dixon is behind several major schemes in the Yorkshire, including the new National College for High Speed Rail in Doncaster, Minsthorpe Leisure Centre in Wakefield and Scarborough Leisure Village, which includes a football ground that allows Scarborough FC to return to the town after a ten year absence.
