SPIE unveils new UK leader

Building services specialist SPIE has promoted Rob Goodhew to head up its UK operation as new CEO.

Goodhew takes over the role later this month from James Thoden van Velzen who has been in charge since 2010.

Goodhew joined SPIE UK in 2009 as Director of Major Projects for the Building Services division.

During his eight years at SPIE he has held several senior management roles including Regional Director and then Managing Director of the UK Building Services division.

Gauthier Louette, SPIE’s Chairman and CEO, said: :We are delighted to appoint Rob to lead our UK business. His extensive experience in the market and at SPIE made him the obvious choice to lead the business forward.

“The range of roles he has held at SPIE already, means that he has the detailed understanding and knowledge of our business to continue its expansion and growth.

“It’s an exciting time for SPIE in the UK, and I’m pleased to welcome Rob to SPIE Group executive committee.

“I thank James for all he has contributed to the business and wish him well for the new opportunity he decided to embrace.”
