Skanska building’s London and south east operations director Matthew Cova is joining Kier to head its expanding major building projects division.
Cova worked for Skanska for 27 years working his way up to projects director and finally spending six years as operations director of the contractor’s main building business division.
He joins Kier as managing director of major projects at Kier’s UK building business.
Peter Young, Kier executive director for Building UK, said: “Matt joins us to lead our Major Projects team, which delivers the larger scale projects that we undertake for our customers in the strategic health, custodial, defence, science and wider commercial sectors.
“Matt brings with him a wealth of experience and the collaborative behaviours that align closely with our own core values. We look forward to welcoming him to our team as we continue to work towards the successful delivery of our Vision 2020 strategy.”
