Midlands electricity distribution company Western Power Networks has named its preferred contractors to carry out civils works on its substations.
The firm has whittled down 18 bidders to eight firms to carry out works on substations rangings from 132KV to 11KV.
The latest farmework arrangement lasts four years with the option to extend by two years and will cover the east and west Midlands.
Winning firms include: North Midland Construction, Alun Griffiths (Contractors), Manning Construction, Palmer Construction, Whitehouse Construction, Alpha Construction, Barhale and Sienna Construction
