Mick George Ltd has landed an earthworks package as part of the ongoing expansion programme at the Port of Tilbury.
The latest development is centred around the construction of a new ‘flat storage facility’ which is an enlargement of the existing Grain Terminal.
Mick George Ltd will shortly begin earthworks on behalf of Cadman Construction Ltd.
The premises will allow for an additional 16,000 metric tonnes of wheat to be imported and exported.
The 152-acre site takes the total port acreage to 1,100 acres.
Michael George, Contracts Director at Mick George Ltd said: ‘’The business is well versed in providing earthwork provisions for transport infrastructure, and are experienced in suitably managing the complexities involved with such locations.
“Currently working on some major Rail and Road network projects, it will be good to add marinas and boats to that list.’’
