Bristol based contractor Helm Construction has gone into administration.
The firm is now in the hands of administrators from Opus Restructuring LLP who took control of the company earlier this week.
Most of the 50-strong workforce are understood to have been made redundant.
Helm had been trading since 2014 and latest accounts for the year to March 31 2017 show it owed £1.3m to trade creditors.
The company was still recruiting up until October when it took on a new contracts manager.
Helm was a keen supporter of local sport sponsoring Bristol Rugby’s Ian Madigan and owning a box at Bristol City.
