LDD Construction lands Paddington Cube drilling and cutting deal

Specialist LDD Construction has picked-up one of London’s largest drilling and cutting packages  at the £350m Paddington Cube project.

Work includes over 700m of diamond stitch drilling,wire and track sawing at over 2m deep into reinforced concrete basement slab to form a trench around the perimeter of the building.

The LDD team is now on-site and its workforce will peak at 30 operatives a day during the busiest periods on the challenging five-week programme.

Further phases of drilling and cutting works are expected to total in excess of £2.5m.

LDD is working directly for Erith who were recently awarded the main basement package following successful completion of the initial demolition works,

The Paddington Cube will feature a 14-storey glass-cladded building sitting upon three-storey podiums, offering over 350,000 sq ft of office, retail and restaurant space.
