Subcontractors stop work on Dawnus sites

Subcontractors are understood to be downing tools on Dawnus sites.

The Enquirer has been contacted by a number of firms concerned about their contracts with Dawnus.

Dawnus hit the headlines yesterday when a subcontractor blocked a Manchester road following a pay row with them.

Subcontractors have now told the Enquirer that work has stopped on other sites.

No directors were available to comment on the situation when the Enquirer contacted the company’s Swansea headquarters.

Dawnus Construction reported a pre-tax loss of £1.2m in its latest filed accounts for 2017 on a turnover of £119m.

During the same period Dawnus Group made a pre-tax loss of £1.3m on a turnover of £170m

The accounts show Dawnus Group employed 765 staff.
