ISG Scottish boss also takes on northern England

ISG’s managing director in Scotland has now taken on added responsibility for the contractor’s north of England division.

Andy McLinden has been promoted to the new post of managing director for Scotland and Northern England seeing him take control of ISG’s Manchester, Liverpool and Bradford offices. The combined business employs over 270 staff.

He takes over from Danny Murray who left in September to join student accommodation specialist Liberty Living as interim property services director under a fixed-term contract until 30 April 2017.

McLinden joined ISG in 2010 from ROK and was instrumental in establishing the ISG brand in the Scottish market, growing this business from a standing start to £60m revenue.

ISG’s business has also quickly established a reputation in the hospitality, office and technology sectors north of the border.

In the expanded role he will run a combined business with revenue of £160m.

McLinden said: “This is a really exciting moment for the business as we bring together the capabilities of the Scottish and Northern construction businesses and provide a seamless service to customers across the north of the UK.”
