Mace to build third Shard tower

Mace has been confirmed as construction manager on the 26-storey Shard Place resi tower.

Development managers Real Estate Management (UK) Limited and Sellar Property Group have confirmed the appointment on the new scheme alongside The Shard and The News Building.

Shard Place will contain 180,000 sq ft of apartments ranging in size from studios to one, two and three bedrooms.

It has been designed by Renzo Piano and will feature a roof garden on the sixteenth floor.

It has an estimated development value of £600m.

demolition works are complete and the development is on track to be completed in 2020.

Mace will provide full construction management services including the delivery of the shell and core, the fit out of the apartments, all associated MEP services, residential amenities and the public realm.
