Mace boss replaces Leo Quinn at think tank

Mace CEO Mark Reynolds has been appointed to the Construction Leadership Council (CLC) to lead the skills workstream.

He replaces Balfour Beatty CEO Leo Quinn who quit the council last month.

Andrew Wolstenholme, Co-Chair of the CLC said: “Mark Reynolds brings insight from his leadership of a business that spans consulting, construction and asset management.

“Mark’s advocacy for the new skills required for the Digital, Manufacture and Performance agenda makes him the ideal candidate to drive the next phase of the work of the CLC skills workstream.”

He added: “On behalf of the CLC, I would like to thank Leo for his great contribution to the work of the CLC, and his personal commitment to increasing the skills of the construction workforce.

“He has championed the apprenticeship agenda and has been a firm and challenging advocate for a reformed CITB.  We are grateful for the leadership that Leo has shown in completing the initial stages of the skills workstream”.

Reynolds said: “I will be focusing on ensuring we are able to attract the best people to the industry, how to plan for and deliver for the future skills the sector will need, and working closely with a reformed CITB.”
