Blu-3 signs-up to water trade body in PR19 work push

Utility and civils specialist blu-3 has joined The Future Water Association to pave the way for future water projects under the upcoming PR19 investment period.

The specialist contractor aims to expand in the sector after building a track record working for South East Water, Thames Water and Veolia Water.

Membership of  the FWA will give the firm insight into procurement plans of the major water companies ahead of the next programme period starting in 2019.

Jim Southworth, blu-3 managing director said: “We have ambitious growth plans at blu-3 that will see us raising our profile even further across multiple sectors, including utilities and water.

“We have a lot to offer the water companies with our skill-set and innovation but up until recently we haven’t been focused on developing these networks to a greater extent.

“Our membership of the organisation will help us to build those relationships, open doors to new opportunities and enable us to demonstrate our outstanding service offering.”

The Future Water Association is the leading business support organisation, helping to stimulate business growth, shape the industry’s direction and influence stakeholders.

Holding regular meetings with all the UK’s water companies and Tier One suppliers, the non-profit association supports members to overcome the sector’s challenges.
