Galliford Try appoints new education director

Galliford Try  has promoted bid manager Claire Jackson to the position of education director for its building business.

Claire, who joined Galliford Try as bid manager in 2014 from Morgan Sindall, will succeed Michael Buchanan who is stepping down after seven years in the top role.

He has postponed his retirement to carry on with the business in an advisory capacity moving forward.

Over the past seven years he oversaw Galliford Try’s education offering expanding the order book, which now breaks the £1bn mark, and the business playing key roles on the Education Funding Agency  frameworks and the Scottish Hub frameworks in Scotland.

Mick Laws, Managing Director of Galliford Try Midlands and South, said: “Claire has been a key part of the education team at Galliford Try and will continue our focus on developing opportunities throughout the country.

“This change demonstrates our commitment to succession planning and developing people within our business.”
