Buckingham Group wins £37m Coventry waterpark

Coventry City Council has selected Buckingham Construction Group to build its £37m waterpark, swimming pool and leisure centre.

During the two-stage bidding process up to 60% of the bid evaluation was based on the quality and performance of named subcontractors, with each package individual weighted and assessed.

Buckingham won the main building contract for the landmark new complex with a £28m bid.
The fresh approach taken by the council comes after changes in procurement from April last year and the use of the new Crown Commercial Services documents which give public sector clients ore flexibility in both, what they ask and how they mark it.
