Sir Robert McAlpine has been chosen as delivery partner by Northumberland Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust subsidiary NTW Solutions to carry out at least £50m of work over the next five years.
It is McAlpine’s first award from the Pagabo National Framework for Major Construction Works which was set up last year.
John Carson, NTW Solutions’ Head of Capital Development and Planning, said: “We are delighted that we can continue to attract high caliber construction companies.

“I’m sure combining our technical expertise will boost our capabilities and capacity for delivering the Trust’s Capital programme.”
Mark Gibson, Sir Robert McAlpine’s Managing Director for the North East, said “This is an extremely significant appointment for us nationally and locally, as it the first contract awarded to us through the Pagabo National Framework for Major Construction Works and builds on our delivery of mental health projects such as those delivered for Tees, Esk & Wear Valley NHS Foundation Trust.”
