Developer Elliot is planning to start demolition early next year for its Infinity triple tower residential scheme in Liverpool.
Mee Demolition will begin preparatory work in January for the first building, planned for the corner of Pall Mall and Leeds Street.
The £250m development is the largest single housing project in Liverpool and will offer over 1,000 flatss, plus a triple-height luxury spa, gym and pool and more than 10,000 sq ft of commercial space.
The Falconer Chester Hall designed project will see each of the blocks wrapped in two shimmering glazed skins that represent the sun reflecting off the river.
Construction of the smaller 27 storey tower is due to begin first, with a main contractor revealed in the New Year.
