Hospital bosses at Carillion’s stalled Birmingham hospital scheme are opening the site gates to contractors at a bidders day next week.
Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospitals NHS Trust will hold the event as part of plans to find a contractor to complete the scheme.
It has kept on five senior Carillion staff to advise on the project which is now expected to cost an extra £300m to complete.
Trust board papers also reveal that an enabling works contractor, whose job is to safeguard the half-built hospital will start on site next month.
The completion of the stalled Midland Metropolitan Hospital project has now been pushed back two years to 2022.
