Demand surges for Russell man-made roof tiles

Manufacturer Russell Roof Tiles is reporting strong demand from contractors and developers for its latest Country Stone product following its launch this time last year.

Country Stone is one of three colour varieties in Russells  thinner leading edge (TLE) collection – the Natural Range.

Each high-tech man-made tile offers the appearance of natural stone tiles to replicate other roofs in the area easily and meet the necessary requirements of the local planning conditions.

Its concrete material promises consistency and longevity, minimising the life time costs of the roof once installed.

Andrew Hayward, Managing Director at Russell Roof Tiles said: “Following our expansion in the south of the UK, we experienced ongoing requests for roof tiles that replicated natural stone roofs in areas such as the Cotswold and Oxford.

“As a result, we introduced three new stone coloured varieties in the Natural Range to meet this demand.

“It is great to see the product’s continued growth and now we are now enjoying seeing a number of finished housebuilding projects, which all feature the Country Stone.”

The Paddocks, which is set in the popular village of Abingdon, South Oxfordshire, was the first scheme to feature the Country Stone product.

Working closely with David Wilson Homes, Russells provided £75,000 worth of its Galloway tiles in Country Stone after the developer required a cost-effective but long-lasting solution for its homes.

The tiles have already been used across 20 new properties at The Paddocks and will be used across a further 55 houses – including a mixture of two, three and four-bedroom homes.
