Specialist Western Thermal Ltd has started the final phase of its thermal insulation and trace heating package for main contractor Carillion at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital.
Richard Cardiss, Executive Operations Director of Western Thermal, said: “This project is not only the largest in the UK in terms of emergency departments and single-patient rooms, but it is also the largest hospital project to date for Western Thermal.
“It is a very comprehensive healthcare project for us and we are proud to be a part of it.
“Providing a multi-disciplined approach to Healthcare contracts is important. Hospitals need to have fully operational and functioning heating and ventilation systems throughout, including protection from frost.
“Patients need optimum conditions with respect to their body temperature and air quality for a full recovery, and to improve their overall health.”
Western Thermal’s contract includes services from its Thermal Insulation and Trace Heating divisions, providing heating and ventilation insulation along with pipework frost protection.
