Kier Group has appointed former Carillion Southern region managing director James Hindes to head its Aviation and Defence business.
He brings a wealth of experience in the aviation and defence sectors working in collaboration with Heathrow Airport on the build of Terminal 5C and with Defence Infrastructure Organisation, where new accommodation and sports facilities at the Royal Navy Air Station at Yeovilton formed part of his southern portfolio.
As managing director for Kier Aviation and Defence he will work with sector teams supporting ambitious growth plans.
Hindes said: “I’m excited to be joining Kier at a time when both Aviation and Defence are key growth sectors for Kier and construction in the UK.
“In this role I’m looking forward to working with exisiting and potential new clients and stakeholders to play my part in continuing to deliver a quality sector focused delivery across the UK.”
