Mick George bags earthworks deal on car trim warehouse

Mick George has won the earthworks package for a new office and warehouse for IMK Automotive on the outskirts of Kettering, Northamptonshire.

IMK produces bespoke interior trim for the automotive, aerospace and rail industries.

The new 100,000 sq ft complex will be built by Parkway Construction (MK) Ltd and is scheduled to be completed early in 2019.

The build itself will comprise an array of bespoke features which includes; a combination of highly insulated vertical composite cladding, alongside rain screen panelling to the main elevations, which are complimented by the use of ribbon windows, curtain walling screens and a projecting glazed atrium over the reception area.

Michael George, Director of Contracting at Mick George said: ‘’We have worked alongside Parkway Construction (MK) Ltd on similar projects at Kettering Business Park where this project is located, so are familiar with the surroundings, which puts us in a strong position to deliver another high-class service.

‘’It is good to see a successful global brand that already has established roots in the Kettering area looking to build on their foundations in the same locality, which will only be a good thing for the nearby communities.’’
