McAlpine on the hunt for new subcontractors

Sir Robert McAlpine is looking for suppliers across Exeter as it gears up to build £100m of new contract wins across the region.

McAlpine is working on three major projects – The EXEseed Leisure Centre, Project Sofia student accommodation and the extension to the Princesshay shopping centre.

The company is hosting a supplier engagement event with Constructionline next week to meet specialist contractors.

McAlpine is looking for subcontractors for every aspect of the build from demolition and groundworks to roofing, M&E, blockwork, drylining and fit-out.

Peter Munn, Regional Manager at Sir Robert McAlpine said, “This event presents a fantastic opportunity for local tradespeople to work on projects in their local community.

“The range of projects that we are targeting means that we require a range of skilled tradespeople.

“In order to access those companies, we have partnered with Constructionline who connect us directly to SME’s.

“Constructionline streamlines the procurement and supply chain process, enabling us to better provide smaller businesses opportunities they may otherwise not be presented with.”

The event will be hosted in an informal manner and attendees can register online here

It will take place from 10:00 to 14:00 on January 25th at Jurys Inn Hotel, Western Way, Exeter, EX1 2DB and will be free to Constructionline members and non-members.
