Muse awards Galliford Try £25m London flats job

Galliford Try has secured its third project in recent years from Morgan Sindall’s development arm Muse.

The latest job forms part of the redevelopment of the London Borough of Lambeth’s town hall and surrounding council properties.

Under the £25m contract Galliford Try will redevelop the old council housing office, Hambrook House, into 94 flats across building height from six to 14 storeys.

Notting Hill Housing, a key partner for Galliford Try in a number of schemes across London, is also involved in the project, managing the 48 new affordable homes created by the development.

Muse has previously used Galliford Try to built the Chatham Place development in Reading and the One Smithfield Square project in Manchester for the same client.

Matthew Pool, Galliford Try London and South East Commercial Managing Director, said: “We are delighted to be working once again with Muse on this fantastic regeneration project in the heart of Lambeth.

“Our business has a strong track record in mixed-use development across London and we look forward to working with Muse to create high-quality homes for the local community.”

The development is due to be completed in September 2018.
