Yorkshire-based Fairfax Plant Hire has bought 80 Hitachi 8-tonne excavators in a record deal for the firm.
The order for the ZX85USB-5 machines will allow the Selby hirer to further develop their business in Lincolnshire, Yorkshire, Lancashire and the North East.
Fairfax development director Mark Love, said: “This is by far our largest single order for new plant and will take us to the next level as we continue to grow the company and Fairfax brand.”
“We thoroughly researched the market before settling on the Hitachi excavators which ticked every box in terms of overall quality, high performance, operator comfort and safety and very importantly for a hire fleet ease of maintenance.”
