Catalyst Housing names £900m new builder line-up

Leading south east housing association Catalyst has trebled the number of prefered contractors to deliver its annual building programme of around 800 homes.

The association anticipates it will spend £500m-£900m over the next four years delivering an ambitious building programmes across London and the South East.

As a result it has raised the number of partner firms from seven to around 22.

Among the newcomers are Durkan, Guildmore, Henry Construction, and Midgard as well as major players like Galliford Try, Kier and Lovell.

Murphy has also joined the hunt for new build projects in the social housing sector having been selected for lots for project worth up to £30m.

The firms will deliver a full mix of housing types for the association from affordable rented accommodation, low cost home ownerships, private sale, mixed tenure schemes and some major refurbishment and regeneration above the EU procurement threshold.

Catalyst Housing has over 21,000 rented and shared ownership homes in management across London and the South East.
