Otis lands lift deal from O’Rourke at Manchester Airport

Otis UK has started installation of lifts, escalators, and moving walkways into the new Terminal 2 extension at Manchester Airport.

Laing O’Rourke is main contractor on the job which is part of a £1bn investment program at the airport.

Otis is installing 38 Gen2 Stream lifts that carry up to a maximum of 33 people and travel at a top speed of 3 metres/second.

The specialist is also installing three goods lifts, eight escalators and four moving walkways.

The work is scheduled to be completed in 2020.
