Morgan Sindall wins February contracts league double

Morgan Sindall pulled off a contracts league double in February rising to pole position in both the monthly and rolling year rankings for value of work won.

According to construction information specialist Glenigan Morgan Sindall picked up a haul of 33 smaller contracts during the month taking work won to £233m.

Among the larger contracts secured Morgan Sindall won a £23m job to build a gateway building for Huddersfield University’s Schools of Law and Music and Humanities in the city and a £35m project in Liverpool for a Northern Centre of Excellence for the Royal College of Physicians in Liverpool’s Paddington regeneration area.

The winning streak helped Morgan Sindall retain its top position at the top of the rolling 12 month league where it continues to be chased by Kier, Laing O’Rourke and BAM.

Willmott Dixon came in second place during February after securing a £90m social housing deal with the London Borough of Hounslow.

ISG rose to second place mainly on the strength of a £150m fit-out deal for a new headquarters building for Goldman Sachs near Farringdon Crossrail station in central London.

Carillion also secured a £90m contract for first phase of Liverpool Waters for Peel Holdings.
