Site gas leak sees King’s Cross evacuated

A suspected gas leak from a construction site prompted the evacuation of offices in London’s King’s Cross on Thursday afternoon.

Emergency services were called at 1pm and hundreds of people have been evacuated from local office buildings.

The largest construction site near to the incident on York Way is run by McAleer & Rushe who are building a new £26m Hub hotel for Premier Inn where work is scheduled for completion this May.
