The Manchester Airports Group has appointed BAM Construction to deliver a second major car parking project under its capital delivery framework.
BAM Construction’s South East team will deliver a 2,500-space scheme at Stansted Airport worth £26m.
Designed by Pascal and Watson, the five-level car park is expected to complete in May 2019.
BAM is already on site at Manchester airport constructing a 6,500 space meet and greet multi-storey car park at Terminal 1 and Terminal 3.
The first section of spaces for the £34m project will be delivered in August, with an anticipated completion of April 2019.
The two schemes continue a developing working relationship between MAG and BAM which has seen 11 previous schemes completed under the Group’s capital delivery framework agreement.
