blu-3 bags Bonds Street station public domain work

Civils specialist blu-3 has been awarded an external works package for Costain-Skanska JVs new Bond Street tube station C412 contract in London.

Part of £300m of works to update the station’s facilities in preparation for the arrival of the Elizabeth Line, the 20-week project will enhance capacity and step-free access to London’s West End with 24-hour trains during peak periods.

Its package involves public domain and highway construction as well as surface finishes, drainage, street lighting and hostile vehicle mitigation works for the tube station.

Michael Grogan, blu-3 Project Manager, said “blu-3 is proud to be involved in a project so vital to future-proofing the capital’s transport network, helping it to keep pace with increasing capacity demands.”
