Plans in for £100m Liverpool marina resi scheme

Plans have been formally submitted to build a 500,000 sq ft residential scheme on an island site at the edge of the Brunswick Dock to the south of the city centre.

North West developer Maro Developments has used architect Fletcher-Rae to draw up plans for Brunswick Quay which will offer more than 550 homes across four separate buildings ranging in height from 7-12 storeys.

The buildings will be linked by landscaped garden piazzas, set above secure enclosed car parking.

Individual buildings have a distinctive layering of materials with a random array of windows referencing the camouflaged ‘dazzle ship’ effect used in the first world war

The planning application incorporates retail and commercial units at the ground floor of the buildings along the riverside

Maro Developments Limited is a northwest-based development company with strong links to Liverpool and the wider Merseyside City Region through past and present projects in Liverpool, Knowsley and nearby Warrington and Southport.

The project’s design team consists of: Hannans (Building Services); Abacus (Cost Consultant); Integra (Structural Engineers); Mott Macdonald (Highways).
